Paul S. McGrath

Paul S. McGrath, 76, of Kalispell, Montana passed away Sunday August 19, 2018 at Health Center in Kalispell, due to complications of COPD and Auto Immune Disease of the lungs.
Paul was born to Fred and Margaret McGrath in Plymouth, Massachusetts on April 5, 1942. The family moved west in 1946 where Paul graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1959; he joined the US Navy Seabees in 1959 and served time on Guam, Wake and Midway Islands before being discharged in 1962.
Paul then attended Northern Arizona University 1962-1966 and earned a Bachelors’ degree. 1966-1970 he attended Colorado State University and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He then practiced medicine in Kingman, AZ for 10 years before moving to Kalispell, MT in late 1979 where he married the love of his life, Sandra in 1994.
Paul was a member of the Kalispell Elks, Eagles and a life member of the Montana Veterinary Medical Association. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother and sister. He is survived by his wife Sandra, and two sons, Travis McGrath of Redmond, WA and Daniel McGrath of Chesterfield, VA; also a younger brother Fred Jr. of Doylestown, PA., two stepdaughters, Amy Marvin and Heather Larson, both of Spokane, WA. Paul and Sandie also have seven Grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
