Nancy Ann Miller of Bigfork, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 in her home. She was born November 12, 1949 in Wallace, ID to Jens and Zilpha Oswold. Nancy earned her Certificate for Vocational Nursing from Modesto Junior College in September, 1968. She served as a nurse in the U.S. Army and earned National Defense Service Medal. While stationed at Fort Sam Houston, she married Ken Miller on August 14, 1971. After both were discharged from the Army, she and her family moved to Gustine, California, and eventually to Bigfork, Montana, where they lived for for the past 36 years. She worked as a nurse until she suffered a debilitating injury at work, at which time she became a stay at home mom to her two sons, Dwight and Scott. She enjoyed woodworking, (a hobby that she picked up from her father), sewing, and other crafts (passions that she inherited from her mother).

Nancy is survived by her husband, Ken Miller; son Dwight Miller and wife Kristyn of Parker, CO; son Scott Miller and wife Cheri of Portland, OR; nephew Mason Oswold and wife Amanda of Bigfork, MT; granddaughter Abigail Miller; and grandson Blake Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jens and Zilpha Oswold, her brother Burton Oswold and his wife Cindy; and two nephews, Brandon and Grant.

Visitation will be from 1-2 pm and service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home in Kalispell, MT, with military honors.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
