Lawrence J. Athorn

Rev. Lawrence John Athorn, 92, of Bigfork, Montana passed away Tuesday April 30, 2019 at the Lakeview Care Center. He is survived by his wife Barbara and his son Paul of Bigfork and daughters, Mary and Sarah of Pennsylvania.
Larry was born July 10, 1926 in Newark, New Jersey, he served in the military and the Army awarded him an Occupation Medal; afterwards he married and completed seven years of post-graduate school. He served God and the United Presbyterian Church mostly in small rural churches throughout the mid-west.
Larry, Barbara and son Paul resided in Woods Bay after they re-built a Flathead School into their home, where they have lived almost 30 years.
He was greatly loved, and will be missed.
