Tribute

John Arthur Hoehn 65, was called home to the lord on April 12th, 2021 at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in New Ulm Minnesota on June 9th, 1955 to Gilbert and Laurene Hoehn. The family resided in Nicollet County Minnesota on the family farm, where his passion for gardening and enjoying the outdoors began.
He excelled in his academics during his school years and graduated from Nicollet High School in 1973 as valedictorian of his class and received several awards for his academic achievements. He played clarinet and saxophone in the high school band. In later years his love for music led him to pick up his clarinet and join the community band New Horizons. In the early 70's the family moved to Kalispell Mt in the beautiful Flathead Valley where he helped his Dad design and build their home. One of his favorite memories he liked to recall with his Dad was thinning trees in the Northfork to help out some long time family friends. After the thinning project he went to work for Perkins in Kalispell where he was introduced to his loving wife Gayle and they were married on June 2, 1984.
Starting as a dishwasher at Perkins over a short amount of time he worked his way up to a job offer as manager in Bozeman Mt, where they moved and raised their two children Kirsten and Kevin. In 2014 they returned to the Flathead to be able to spend time with their families. His faith led him to Crossroads Christian fellowship Church where he helped with the lord work both local and abroad.
He is survived by his wife Gayle, son Kevin, daughter Kirsten, her companion Gerald, his Grandkids Sorin and Ashlynn. Brothers James and Larry, and sister Jeanette. Mother-in-law Barbra, brother-in-law Neil, sister-in-laws Susan and Paulette and their spouses and companions Melissa, Melody, Sheila, Stewart, and several aunt's, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His unwavering faith was an inspiration and guiding light for those around him and will be loved and missed by many.
Please join us in celebrating his life April 19th, 11:30am at Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church in Bigfork Mt, burial following at Conrad Cemetery. Afterwards a luncheon and sharing of memories will be held at Woodland park pavilion. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
