OBITUARY FOR FLORA MAE ISCH
Flora Mae Isch passed away on November 19, 2018 at Lakeview Care Center in Bigfork Montana. She was born on April 28, 1924 in Kalispell Montana to Henry and Ella Bellefleur, pioneer settlers of Creston, MT. She attended Creston Elementary, Flathead High School and then the University of Montana. Later she received a Masters of Arts at the same university in Montana History.
On June 30, 1947, she married Harry M Isch and they set up residence in Kalispell. Flora was a member of the Kalispell Garden Club and Birthday Club. Her passion was gardening and growing many different varieties of flowers. She enjoyed going on wildflower tours sponsored by Flathead Valley Community College.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1988. She is survived by her two daughters, Rita McKinney of Creston and Stephanie Isch of Seattle Washington. Her sister-in-law Betty Trueblood, two grandchildren Boone McKinney of Orcas Island, WA, Nicole Soto of Burbank, CA, and two great granddaughters Maya and Corina Soto.
Flora was well thought of at the nursing home and her long time caregivers had some special thoughts. One said, “She was the sweetest, loving and kindest woman I’ve ever met.” Another stated “She always treated us like family.”
Formal arrangements for a celebration of Flora’s life will be made at a later date. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the Isch family.
