Carl Hogman

July 3, 1947 ~ April 12, 2021 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Tribute

On April 12, 2021, Heaven opened its doors to receive one of the most endearing men that God ever placed on this earth.
Carl Hogman was always the most loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He spent his life in service to his family, as well as his country. Carl served in the United States Air Force for 26 years, receiving multiple commendations. His service provided amazing opportunities for travel and adventure. The family lived in several states and in Germany. Free time was spent exploring castles, caves, zoos, national parks, camping, and so many other memory making, family building experiences. His last duty station was Malmstrom Air Force base, where he fell in love with and chose to make Montana his home. Carl spent the last four years working at the Montana State Veterans Home where he was cherished by both staff and residents.
Carl and wife, Sandie, were married for 55 years. Their marriage and lifelong love were a guiding light for countless couples and family members. For many years, they led Marriage Encounter weekends, sharing their love and life lessons with other married couples. Their example helped others strengthen their own relationships. Carl and Sandie were active members of St. Richard’s Catholic Church. He shared his faith and love for God by playing guitar and singing with the church choir. His favorite services were in the midst of God’s splendor at Glacier National Park
Following a short, but intense battle with cancer, he passed into the arms of Our Father, in the presence of family and the comfort of home. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothea Hogman, son Brian, and two grandchildren. He leaves behind a grateful family celebrating his life. He is survived (and very much missed) by wife Sandie Hogman, daughter Lisa Buller and husband Lee, daughters Dana Carr and Bridgette Hogman, siblings Bruce, Lee and Jean, grandchildren Ryan, Shannon, Evan, Stacy, Meaghan, and Caitlyn, and great-grandchildren Jaxon and Demi. Adding to these are the loved ones gained through marriage, and dear friends too numerous to state. God now has Carl in his arms. He will forever be held in our hearts.
Carl will be laid to rest at the Montana Veterans Home cemetery with his friends, peers, and brothers in service.
