Bill and Margaret sold their homes and bought a double wide and moved to Ashley Lake 2003, where Margaret already had property. There Bill fell in love with Ashley Lake and mountains. He liked hiking, walking with his wife, riding 4-wheelers, sno cating with his 2 sons and friends. He also enjoyed camping with special friends Ken and Rosalie and others. Sitting around campfires listing to guitars and singing. Spending time with grandkids. Bill had the best of neighbors at the lake. He enjoyed helping them when they needed it, snow plowing, moving dirt and rock with the bobcat and putting in the dock and taking the dock out. Bill was a person who would do anything for anyone. He hated to ask for help.
Bill had a passion for working on old cars and pickups. He put a Cummins in a 1969 Ford truck he recently had a good friend put dull stacks on it for him. The bug deflector says “Hear It Cummins” his son Jason did for him. His latest project was building 2 Rat Rods 1936 pickup and 1935 car. Due to his illness he didn’t get to finish them. His son Jason and grandson Jon will finish them.
Bill had various jobs working on the oil fields in Bakersfield, California working as a welder with his brother. His favorite was logging being in the woods. His resent job logging was for Steve Coffer for 15 years. The hills got steeper for him and the skidder. So he quit and went to work driving dump truck for Badger Excavating Ron Schleqel.
